Majlis programme: Allah The Almighty states in the Quran “If you remember Me, I will remember you”. We should remember Allah abundantly. We have to continue to struggle against our Nafs to reach Allah till the day we die. In this struggle we have to make Tawbah (repentance), Make Tazkiya (Rectify the Nafs) and establish the Salah with Khushoo and humbleness and what better opportunity than in the blessed month of Ramadhaan. We should always be on our guard against the Nafs as it could lead us astray. We should seek the help of a Shaykh who will guide and advise us in our journey to Allah.

Quranic Explanation programme: We have to present Islam in the best way possible to Muslims and Non – Muslims. If a community or a country does not give CHARITY or have UNITY then they will be unsuccessful. We should not only give charity with our wealth but also be charitable with our actions even if it means to greet a fellow Muslim with a smiling face. Majlis programme:Whatever spiritual condition we are in we have to keep on striving towards Allah. We should never give up as it is easy to give up thus we MUST continue to strive towards The Almighty Allah at all times. Zikr is a fundamental practice and will bring awareness and closeness to Allah. We need to increase and rectify our intention. When reading Salaah we should also add this intention that through the blessing of Salah we become humble, true slaves of Allah and that we are saved from sins.

Quranic Explanation programme: The virtues of the 15th of Shaaban. Zakat is a compulsory act however some people do not give zakat. The rules regarding zakat and we must be very careful and diligent when calculating our zakat. We, as Muslims do not give enough voluntary charity. Who is entitled to receive the zakat as explained in the Quranic Surah Al – Tawbah Verse 60. Also an explanation of the Quranic Surah An – Nisa Verse 114 which states we should give charity and bring reconciliation between Muslims and those who do this sincerely will have a great reward.

A pious person has stated that we cry when somebody dies but we don’t cry when the heart is dead but it is more of a calamity when the heart is dead. We should make zikr in isolation loudly with the intention of loving Allah even if it is for 5 minutes and through this zikr and fikr our awareness of Allah The Almighty will increase.

Majlis programme: We should make adundant zikr (remembrance) of Allah and have fikr (constantly thinking how best to please Allah). There should be time in our daily lives where we make zikr in isolation. Loud Zikr is prescribed by the Shaykh as a remedy as the majority of people in this day and age are weak and thus would probably fall asleep in silent zikr after 5 minutes.  

Quranic Explanation programme: We should now begin preparing for the month of Ramadhaan. How Dawah should be given to non-muslims. The history of how the Muslims conquered modern day Turkey. Majlis programme: We should learn to control the tongue and avoid back biting. We should make abundant zikr (remembrance) and be aware of Allah at all times. We should spend at least 10 minutes everyday making Zikr in isolation and a complaint that most Mashaaikh have is that most people do not follow this advice. This is an extremely important advice that we should incorporate into our lives. 

Quranic Explanation programme: We should make more intentions. The love that we should have for the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his Noble Companions (The Sahabah Ikraam). They are not in need of us but we are in need of them. The episode of Hudaibiyah where the mushrikeen of Makkah refused to recognise Muhammad (pbuh) as the Prophet of Allah thus The Almighty Allah revealed the verses in The Quranic Surah Al-Fath Verse 29 in which He states "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" and this will be read until the Day of Judgement. We should give thanks to Allah that he has made us from the Ummah of the Beloved Messenger Muhammad (pbuh).

Majlis programme: We should learn to control the tongue as we could fall into the trap of back biting which is a big sin and not even realise it. We should not harbour bad thoughts about people as this will lead to backbiting and even slandering. We should take great care to ensure we don’t cheat upon the rights of others (Huqooqul Ibaad) as this is very dangerous even if it amounts to 1 pound being taken unjustly. If we have been involved in backbiting and haven’t asked for forgiveness then on The Day Of Judgment our good deeds will go to those whom we have harmed.

Quranic Explanation programme: Invaluable advice for Married couples. The rights of the WIFE and the first right is that we love our wives and be compassionate, friendly and caring towards them. We should not look at their bad qualities but rather take a step back and contemplate their good qualities. One such quality they possess is that they have left their parents to come and live with us and this is an act that most men would not be able to replicate. The Mufasireen state that the wife could give birth to pious children who will look after us and make dua for us when explaining part of Verse 19 of The Quranic Surah An – Nisa. How the Qiblah was determined as explained in The Quranic Surah Baqarah Verse 144.

Majlis programme: We should learn to control the tongue. Back biting is a big sin and at times we don’t even realise we are committing this sin. Back biting is to talk about someone and if that person was to come to know about it he/she would be upset. Slandering is even worse and it is to say things about people which aren’t true. There are also times when back biting is permissible/necessary such as when a trader is cheating people or when finding out about suitable marriage proposals etc.

The issue of domestic violence and how this is also an issue within the Muslim community however this shouldn’t happen at all IF we follow the laws of Allah the Almighty and His Messenger (PBUH). Nobody knows except Allah when the final hour will be as stated in the Glorious Quran in Surah Al Araf verses 187. They ask you about the Hour (Day of Resurrection): "When will be its appointed time?" Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (Alone). None can reveal its time but He. Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth. It shall not come upon you except all of a sudden." They ask you as if you have a good knowledge of it. Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allâh (Alone) but most of mankind know not."

Majlis programme:  We should investigate matters before jumping to conclusions. We should remember death, remember the bounties bestowed on us from The Almighty Allah, to take account of our actions on a daily basis and to make Zikr in seclusion. It is not a sin however there is a strong possibility it could lead to sin such as backbiting etc. This time is precious and we should try and utilise every second Insha Allah. We should give Shukr (thanks) to Allah every second/day because we are not worthy of doing good deeds but it is only through the benevolence and bounty bestowed upon us by Allah the Almighty that we are able to carry out these good deeds, accomplishments and have Imaan thus we should make this our daily practice Insha Allah.

Quranic Explanation programme: The status and the importance Islam gives to looking after your mother. Examples of the position achieved by those pious people who looked after their mothers. The story of Owais Carny. The least thanks we can give to our parents is to make Dua for them after every Salah. It is sad to note that we are not taking this blessed opportunity to fulfil their rights and thus miss out on the huge reward available. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Luqman Verse 14 “And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years — give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination”.

Majlis programme: We should not waste our time on useless pursuits but rather use our time wisely. This time is very precious and every second we lose we cannot regain it. We should not meet unnecessarily (wasting time talking for hours with no benefit). Allah says in the Quran in Surah Al Asr, By Al Asr (the time). Verily, man is in loss, Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma ruf) which Allah has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar) which Allah has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allah's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism).

Quranic Explanation programme: The Dua (supplication) one should read when travelling. Travelling on a long journey has many similitudes to the journey we will face when we depart from this world. The importance of Prayer (Salah) and using our time wisely. Those who belittle the beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) will face some form of punishment in this world unless they repent or are given imaan (faith). Explanation of selected Verses of the the Quranic Surah Az - Zukhruf, Surah An – Nahl and Surah Al – Massad.

Majlis programme: We should try and eat less to the extent that we only eat to our stomachs full and not to our throats full. We should be careful of the food we consume and ensure it is Halal. Eating the correct amount necessary for our body’s is actually beneficial for our health and saves us from many illnesses.

Quranic Explanation programme: To become the beloved of Allah we should follow the Sunnah in all aspects of our life and increase our love for the beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) more than ourselves and our families. The Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) is the beloved of Allah (Habibullah). The more we move away from the Sunnah and adopt or follow other practices then we will only be in loss as Allah doesn’t need us but we need Allah. We should send salutations upon the beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) every day. We should give shukr (thanks) to Allah that he has made us from the Ummah of Rasulullah (SAWS). Explanation of the Quranic Surah Muhammad verse 38 and Surah Al – Ankaboot verse 64.

By doing this, it will help us in our compulsory struggle which is to try and worship Allah as best as we can and to not fall in the trap of shaytaan and the nafs and thus commit sins. As a general rule, it is advised that we should sleep no less than six hours and no more than seven hours.

Quranic Explanation programme:The unrest in Egypt; For Muslims success can only be found in following the teachings of Islam. If we try and follow any other way then we will not be successful. Explanation of Quranic Surah Hud verse 35 to 40.

Majlis programme: If we want to become the friend of Allah then we must give up the sins. We must take account of our sins and strive to stop committing them. The first thing in our path to rectify ourselves is to give up the sins and perfect our tawbah (repentance). The sins make us unaware of Allah and as a result we will have a hard heart. The pious people have given us excellent advices and formulas to stop committing sins but we must show a strong resolve to do so rather than just have wishful thinking

Quranic Explanation programme: Committing suicide is haram. Suicide is on the increase and the reasons why people commit suicide. If we do not remember Allah, or the Prophet or read and act upon the Quran or follow the Shariah then for him/her there will be a life of hardship. Majlis programme: A SIN is a SIN regardless of whether it is big or small thus we should make a firm resolve to try and abstain from sin and this requires a great deal of struggle and effort from us. Examples of three types of people and the state of their nafs. We should remember death on a daily basis even if it is for only a minute and this is especially important in today’s era.

Quranic Explanation programme:A Muslim SHOULD be of BENEFIT and NOT a cause of HARM to their community. The SIN of MASTURBATION and ZINA (Adultery and Fornication) and ways of dealing with them. Allah Taala says in the Holy Qur'an in Surah BaniIsraeel, verse 34: "Do not even go near Zina it is an abomination and a evil way". The current calamities and sudden deaths are a sign of the Day of Judgment and so we should make dua to Allah not to give us a sudden death thus we have an opportunity to make Tawbah (repentance). Explanation of some verses of the Quranic Surah 11 Hud Verse 36 and Surah 71 Surah Nuh (Noah) Verse: 36-37.

Why people in Britain are accepting Islam.Explanation of the First and Second verses of Surah At Taghabun and explanation of the 30th verse of Surah Al Room which is: "Therefore, stand firm in your devotion to the upright faith (the nature made by Allah, the one on which mankind is created) and the laws of Nature ordained by Allah cannot be changed. That is the standard of true faith, but most among mankind do not know."

Majlis programme: It is extremely important to complete our Qazaa Salaah and Sajdah e Tilaawat before we die. If we die without having completed these we must ensure that we have this written in our will so that fidya (penalty) can be paid on our behalf. This is an extremely important point which isn't taken seriously in today's times. This whole life is a struggle (Mujahidah) and this struggle is beloved to Allah. This struggle will help us increase our Mushahidah (awareness of Allah)

We must fulfil the purpose why Allah has created us and we must make this effort now. What is the purpose of our life? Allah did not create us except for his Ibaadah (worship) and through this ibaadat we gain his Maarifat (awareness and understanding). Insha Allah, Allah makes us successful and grants us the Al – Firdaus Heaven Ameen. A very important masalah of Al – istibraa for men (regarding urination). This will save you from the punishment of the grave Insha Allah.

Quranic Explanation programme:Whole Surah’s and verses have been revealed in the Quran – ul - Kareem regarding the Christians and Jews because the Muslims have to live in this world shoulder to shoulder with the Christians and Jews right up until the time of Isa (Jesus) Alayhis Salaam. Allah Jalla Jalaalahu has explained everything about them (Christian and Jews) and Rasoolullah SAWS has expanded upon them further. Act on these three golden advices and Insha Allah you will be successful in this world and in the hereafter. Firstly, always try and keep the company of the pious, secondly, increase the remembrance of Allah and thirdly, to think about the creation of Allah and there are hundred of places in the Quran where Allah is inviting us to do this.

If you start Tahajjud Salaah and then discontinue it without a valid reason this is extremely disliked by the beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Just follow the Shariah in whichever way you can and do not commit sins. Islam is for the whole of mankind. When evil thoughts come to a person he should not be afraid as that’s a sign of Imaan, If you have lots of goods in your house that’s what will attract the thief. Just do not put these evil thoughts into practice.

We should make dua to Allah that Allah gives us that level of sincerity and the ability to keep on rectifying our intention. There is a lot of laxity on the part of our rectifying our intention. The status of the Sahabah as explained in the Ahadeeth. The more we sit in the company of the Ulema of truth and the pious Mashaaikh, the more the impurities will come out and cleanliness in our intention will come in. You cannot get naked in front of a child! A very important lesson! Who should we sit with? We should sit with those whom when you look at them you remember Allah. The advice of Luqman Alayhis Salaam to his son, which was to hold fast to the company of the Ulema and listen to the words of wisdom from the people of wisdom.

Quranic Explanation programme: If sometimes you feel you are arrogant the next time you go to the toilet see what rubbish is coming out of you. That is your position. Explanation of the 23rd verse of Surah Bani Israa’eel. The rights of the parents and their status. Looking after the parents is a very important act. We shouldn’t even say ‘Uff’ to them. The signs of Qiyamah in regards to disrespecting parents. Another sign is people will compete with one another in building tall buildings. In other words people who come from a simple background will think their honour lies in building tall buildings and we see this happening today between the Arabs. Money is a very big examination from Allah. The parents are either your Jannah or your Jahannum. To destroy the Haq of the parents is a major sin. Be kind to your parents and your children will be kind to you. Be pure and chaste and this is not easy for a man. 

Majlis programme: An explanation of the famous Hadith in Bukhari on intention. Imam Shafi’ee says this is half the knowledge of deen. The intention of a believer is very important. The reward depends upon the intention. Don’t bring any thought that there is a shortage in the bounty of Allah. Don’t bring the thought that there is a limit to the bounty of Allah. Stories of the Sahabah and the advice of Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal given to his son.

Quranic Explanation programme: This mobile phone is a big fitnah of this age. It has good points as well but it also has evil points as well as in every masjid there is a sign that says switch off your mobile phone but they still ring and that too with music ring tones. This music is a very dangerous thing. It creates hypocrisy in the heart. Today we have no worry. Allah won’t ask how much money we collected, Allah will ask us did the money we collect go to the right places! Explanation of selected verses from Surah Ghashiya. Allah is inviting us have you not seen the Camel.

There is a difference between correcting our intention and increasing it. We should try and increase our intention. Tasawwuf is to correct your intention. That is the first step.

Quranic Explanation programme: The dua that should be made when conditions are extremely cold or hot. When a muslim passes we should make dua of istighfaar for them and talk about their good points. There is no shortage in the bounties of Allah. We should also make dua of forgiveness for ourselves. Dua is very beloved to Allah and we should not be shy to ask. We must prepare for death as we have to go one day too and this is the time to do everything. One is that you make dua, one is that you ask someone to make dua for you and the other is to take dua. Look after your parents, teachers, elders in such a way that they give you dua automatically. To be dutiful to ones parents is such a great act. Surah 17 Surah Bani Israel Verse 23. The reward of looking after your parents and rulings related to them.  The responsibilities to one’s parents are a very big responsibility. Out of the rights of the creation of Allah the greatest rights belong to the parents. That person who is disrespectful to his parents or harms his parents in anyway, not only does he get punished by Allah in the hereafter but he’ll face the punishment in this world as well. The minimum thanks we can give to Allah is to pray our 5 daily prayers and the minimum thanks we can give to our parents is that after the 5 daily prayers we make dua for them.
