Majlis programme: That person who fills in the gap in salaah The Almighty Allah forgives his sins. What to do and how to perform the action when you have started the salah and there is a gap in the saf (row) in front. For islah it is essential to keep the company of the pious and listen to/read the mulfoozat of Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi RA. When we move away from the straight path of The Shariah we will encounter problems whether it be religious, worldly, social, economic, family issues (examples have been given).

Quranic Explanation programme: To slaughter a goat/cow according to the methods of slaughtering in Shariah and then eat it is a symbol of Islam. Majlis programme: The importance and reward of filling in the gaps in salaah with jamaat. We should take great care in filling the gaps. Importance of salah in jamaat. We should keep the company of the pious and study the mulfoozat of Hakeem – ul – Ummah. The aim is to Love Allah and as a result the Shariah will become our very nature. If we do not follow the path of The Shariah then our condition will be that we will be unhappy and if you look closely at all the problems we face in our life it is because we have moved away from this path.

Quranic Explanation programme: The topic of IVF (In vitro fertilisation) and what is permissible and what isn’t for a Muslim.  Explanation of selected verses of The Quranic Surah Al – Maarij explaining the qualities of the believers and one stage of the hell fire. Majlis programme: Time is very precious. The Zikr of Pas Anfaas. The IMPORTANCE of keeping balance in the saf. The purpose of this Islahi Majlis is for the rectification of the nafs and the aim is the PLEASURE of The Almighty Allah. It is to identify our problems and rectify them. Quranic Explanation programme: How to ensure we do not miss the Isha/Fajr Salaah especially in the summer months. The Fardh Salaah/Ibaadah is such that every Muslim should not have any problem in practicing them as The Almighty Allah knows us better than ourselves. Islam wants the grave to be simple and the types of graves and their sizes. The burial has been the same since the time of Adam (AS). The story of Habil and Qabil as explained in the Quranic Surah Al Maeda Verses 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31.

Majlis programme: Virtues of reading salaah in the first saf (row) and on the right hand side. If there is space in the first saf we should take it especially if we are there early. The rows should be straight with the shoulders in line and the gaps should be filled for where there is a gap shaytaan will be there. The purpose of this Islahi Majlis is for the rectification of the nafs. We should refer to a Qualified Shaykh and inform them of our spiritual condition or diseases such as arrogance, jealousy etc

Quranic Explanation programme: Today there is no shortage of lectures but the important thing is to act upon them. The biggest Ibaadah is to stay away from all sins both inwards and outwards. The virtues and rewards of looking after the parents and pleasing them. When we look after our parents The Almighty Allah prolongs our life. Many women and children are mentally, physically and sexually abused in today’s society. The example of The Prophet Yaqoub (AS) and his love for His son, The Prophet Yusuf (AS). Explanation of the Quranic Surah Yusuf Verses 84, 85, 86, 93 and 94 and the Quranic Surah Luqman Verse 14.

Majlis programme: Even if we are involved in Islamic activities such as tableegh or political activities etc we should still try and read our salaah in the Masjid with jamaat. The reward of those who pray in the first row and the importance of straightening the rows and filling in the gaps. We should start preparing for salaah half an hour before the jamaat time. 

Quranic Explanation programme: Having both parents alive is a great blessing. There is no easier way to get rewards from The Almighty Allah then to look after your parents. If we can we should try and stay as close to the parents as possible. Thousands of Jews from Isfahan, Iran will join Dajjal (false imposter) and they will be wearing black garments/shawls. The dua we should make at this time is for ease and comfort in this dunya (world) and in the akhirah (hereafter).

Quranic Explanation programme: The passing away of Moulana Muhammad Safiullah RA who was known as ‘bhaijaan’ and was the son of Hazrat Moulana Maseehullah Khan RA. Majlis programme: The importance of reading our Salaah in the Masjid with jamaat and its virtues. Valid excuses in the Shariah and when we act on this leeway we should think of the bounties of The Almighty Allah upon us and thank Allah. When we have this excuse we should use it and the reward is not any less. If you don’t have the strength to read Tahajjud Salah at its proper time then read 2, 4, or 6 rakaats after Isha Salaah and before Witr salaah. One of the effects of Zina is that Allah stops the water.

Quranic Explanation programme: Oppression (Zulm) will sooner or later catch up with a person and oppression is disliked by The Almighty Allah. Fear the dua of the oppressed. Time is short so we must try and do as many good deeds as possible. The Almighty Allah gives us so much rewards we cannot count them. Masnoon duas we should learn. We should meet our brother with a smiling face. We have to put pressure on our nafs otherwise nothing will happen.

Before you recite The Glorious Quran think for a minute (Muraaqabah) what are we and what is The Glorious Quran. Alhamdulilah, Allah has given us The Beloved Prophet (SAWS), made us of His Blessed Ummah and we have The Glorious Quran. Majlis programme: Praying Salaah in Jamaat is a fundamental Ibaadah and there is a lot of emphasis in the Ahadeeth to pray in Jamaat. The virtues and advantages of praying salaah in jamaat. It is distressing to know that on a day off from work people still do not read their salah in jamaat. That person who continuously misses the salaah with jamaat without a valid excuse in the Shariah will be a faasiq (open sinner). Our Akaabir were very particular about praying salaah in jamaat. It is wajib to make tableegh to those people who we know will listen to us.

Quranic Explanation programme: Recent events in Syria. One of the rights of The Beloved Prophet (SAWS) upon us is that we must respect and honour Him. The honour of The Beloved Prophet (SAWS) is beloved to The Almighty Allah. The punishment of those people who dishonour The Beloved Prophet (SAWS). A time will come when people are Muslims in the morning and in the evening they become kaafir (non - Muslims). Islam (Deen, Religion) is good advice.  Azan is a very big act of Ibaadah (worship). Virtues of the Azan/Muazzin. How to achieve this Khushoo/Khudoo in Salah. How to approach Surah Al Fatiha in Salaah. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Ahzab Verse 57 and the Quranic Surah Fussilat Verses 33, 34 and 35.

Majlis programme: We miss our Salaah with jamaat with very flimsy excuses. The Almighty Allah doesn’t want to make life difficult for the Muslims thus when it snows and becomes difficult for some people to go to the Masjid then they can pray at home. Virtues of coming to the Masjid early. We should thank Allah every day and contemplate the bounties upon us. Walking on the snow is difficult so imagine how difficult it will be to walk on the bridge of Siraat thus we should make dua to Allah. The dua one should make to seek protection from the fire (jahannum) when it is hot/cold. To obey Allah you need patience and Allah loves those who are courageous. We must talk to ourselves and take account of our deeds every day (what did we do today etc). Why a Muslim should always stay in Wudhu. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Insan Verses 12 and 13.

Quranic Explanation programme: How can we please The Almighty Allah. We should follow the Sunnah of The Blessed Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). The pious people would try and follow the Sunnah at every opportunity. The respect and honour of The Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) is beloved to Allah and it should also be beloved to us! If someone does wrong to you, you should try and forgive them and in return do something better however there are some exceptions to the rule. Virtues of the Azan are great. How we should approach the Salaah. Two rakaats of Salaah read with total Khushoo/Khudoo forgives ALL the sins. We should be proud to be the slaves of The Almighty Allah. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Ahzab Verses 56, 57 and the Quranic Surah Fussilat Verses 33, 34 and 35.

Majlis programme: How particular The Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) was about Wudhu and the awareness of death. One of the reasons we cannot give up the sins is because we don’t have this awareness of death. One thing is to have awareness of death but if that awareness is not being practiced upon then it is of no use. Our understanding/awareness of The Almighty Allah is not of the quality it should be and that is why we shave to spend time with the pious Mashaaikh. Why the Mashaaikh always stay in Wudhu and why they encourage us to do the same.  

Quranic Explanation programme: It was in this month of Rabi Al Awwal that the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) was born and it was also in this month He passed away. There are four major huqooq (rights) of The Blessed Prophet (SAWS) upon us. 1) Right of the respect/greatness/position, 2) Right of the love, 3) Obedience to the Prophet (SAWS), 4) To recite durood/salaam. No one can be a true believer until they love the Prophet (SAWS) more than their wealth, family etc. Any hardship or difficulty will be greatly rewarded by The Almighty Allah. How we should approach the Salaah. This Salah and Khushoo/Khudoo is very important and we have to work on this. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Ahzab Verses 56 and 57 and the Quranic Surah Al Maarij Verses 22 and 23.

Majlis programme:The benefits and virtues of Wudhu. It is absolutely necessary to stay in Wudhu where possible as staying in Wudhu is a blessed Sunnah. A LESSON FOR WOMEN is that when they knead the dough they should do so when in Wudhu as good effects will happen. How much attention the pious (Mashaaikh) paid to Wudhu. How can you be a seeker of knowledge of deen/Islah and you stay without Wudhu. A hadeeth of The Beloved Prophet (SAWS) showing us how particular He was about Wudhu. From this hadeeth we also learn that we should always be aware of death and remember death often. A masnoon dua to make. It is EASY TO SPEAK AND TALK BUT WE HAVE TO PUT IT INTO PRACTICE.

Quranic Explanation programme: How weak we humans are so how can we be so arrogant. One of the remedies of arrogance is that when you go to the toilet see what comes out of you. A brief biography of the daughter of The Blessed Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) Umme Kulthum. One of the miracles of The Blessed Prophet (SAWS) was his dua (supplications). The qualities of the believers and their Salaah. How to deal with stray thoughts in Salaah. One is to bring the thought and the other is that the thought comes on its own. We have to make intention and effort to develop Khushoo and Khudoo and the advice of the pious on how to approach Salah. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Maarij Verses 22 and 23.

Majlis programme: It is said about Hazrat Nawab Kesar Sahib RA that for 50 years he performed his salaah with Takbeer – e – Ula. The salaah is very important. The qualities of Nawab Kesar RA mother who only passed away in 1985 on the day of Friday (Jumuah). She is an example for the women to follow. She was deeply attached to the Quran and would recite it abundantly. She was very particular about her Tahajjud Salaah. She would pay her zakat, voluntary charity and qurbani herself and this is a lesson to all women as there is great reward in this. She was an example of good character and would always request two duas which were to attain sweetness of imaan and Husnal Khatimah (Death on imaan). Wudhu is a weapon of the believer and it will protect us from shaytaan. The two voluntary rakaats of tahiyaatul Wudhu.

Quranic Explanation programme: Imaan (belief) and Zulm (oppression) do not go together. How prisoners of war should be treated in Islam and examples have been provided. A brief biography of the uncle of The Blessed Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) Humza RA. He was martyred in the Battle of Uhud and his body was mutilated. We should not worry about the plans and tricks of the kuffar because as long as we follow the Shariah correctly and in its entirety, the Help Of Allah will be with us and whose help is better than Allah The Almighty, The All Wise. Explanation of the Quranic Surah An Nahl Verses 126, 127 and 128 which were revealed when the body of Humza RA was found after the battle by the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). Also an explanation of the Quranic Suraj Al Maarij Verses 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23.

Majlis programme: The characteristics and qualities possessed by the mother of our Akaabir Hazrat Nawab Kesar Sahib RA who recently passed away. His mother is an example for the women of today to follow. Masnoon duas to be read before and during Wudhu. We mustn’t talk about worldly things when performing Wudhu. A recap on the importance, virtues and benefits of Wudhu.

Quranic Explanation programme: A brief biography of the daughter of The Blessed Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) Ruqayah RA. The steps one must take in order to attain khushoo and khudoo in our salaah. Steps such as preparing for salaah half an hour before, performing Wudhu with concentration and making sincere dua to The Almighty Allah as well as other steps provided in the talk will help us to achieve this goal Insha Allah. The supplication we should recite to improve our concentration in salaah. How we live our life outside of salaah will also impact upon our salaah. Majlis programme: Our Akaabir Hazrat Nawab Kesar Sahib has passed away and May Allah Forgive Him and grant Him Jannah tul Firdaus Ameen sum Ameen. His father (RA) possessed two great qualities which were to pray Salaah in the Masjid with Jamaat and abundance of Zikrullah. We should try and pray as many Salah in the Masjid as possible and if due to work we cannot then at least Fajr and Isha Salaah should be prayed in the Masjid. We should ask Allah to grant us blessings in our wealth, health and time. Today we are complaining that we do not have enough money or we do not use our time wisely but with scientific advancements we have more time on our hands so where does this time go.

Quranic Explanation programme: The Dua (supplication) of Janaazah. This TIME is very precious and remembering DEATH will help us utilise our time better. Honour is only in following Islam and Alhamdulilah we are the blessed Ummah of The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The rules and criteria for a Muslim to be successful are different to the rules and criteria for a non – Muslim to be successful. Importance of Sincerity and how to attain it. How Muslims should act and behave with one another with examples of the Blessed Sahabah. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Mulk Verses 1 and 2 and Surah Al Tawbah verse 51.

Majlis programme: The explanation of the last part of the masnoon dua of Wudhu which we should learn by heart. There are people who have millions and billions of pounds but they aren’t happy thus we should ask Allah to put barakah in our Rizq (sustenance) so no matter what we earn we will be happy, satisfied and it will be sufficient for our needs.

Majlis programme: When performing Wudhu our small sins are forgiven but we must make tawbah (repentance) in order for our big sins to be forgiven. Whilst making the Wudhu we should ask for forgiveness by reciting the masnoon dua as taught to us by The Beloved Prophet (SAWS) and Insha Allah in this way both our small and big sins will be forgiven. Our homes should be places where we find comfort, spaciousness and tranquillity.

Quranic Explanation programme: We should have love and respect for the family of The Beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWS). A brief biography of the daughter of The Blessed Prophet (SAWS) Zaynab (RA) and her husband Abul Aas bin Rabeeh (RA). The importance of performing Salaah and how to attain Khushoo and Khudoo. We must make effort to improve the quality and concentration in our Salaah. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Maarij Verses 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23.

Majlis programme: We should not talk during Wudhu (ablution) unless it is absolutely necessary. By performing wudhu correctly and perfectly it will help us to attain Khushoo and Khudoo in our Salaah. We should never think that we have fulfilled the Haq (right) of Allah. The Beloved Prophet (PBUH) would make Istighfaar after He had finished the salaah and whose salaah is better than the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) thus we should follow this Sunnah as there are many mistakes in our salaah. Whenever we do a good deed we should praise The Almighty Allah and seek his forgiveness. Allah loves humbleness and humility. Before we go to sleep we should take account of ourselves, remember death and make sincere repentance. We learn from many pious personalities and their stories of how sincere repentance helped raised their status.

Quranic Explanation programme: We should take account of ourselves as the days are going by very fast. Today we are alive but who knows when death will overtake us. As Qiyamah comes closer sudden death will increase. The Almighty Allah showers so many bounties upon us and we should give shukr (thanks) to Allah every day. One such bounty given to us is water and imagine how difficult it would be if we didn’t have access to water even if it is for a day. To be successful we should follow the Sunnah such as having a beard, using miswaak and ensuring circumcision is undertaken. The benefits and rules regarding circumcision. Explanation of the Quranic Surah An – Nahl Verse 123.  

Majlis programme: The purpose of Tazkiya/Tasawwuf is that we purify our inner self. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was always in the state of Wudhu. That person who tries to keep himself in the state of Wudhu and he has steadfastness on this then he dies as a shaheed (martyr). The masnoon dua which is said during Wudhu which we should learn and its explanation. The Beloved Prophet (PBUH) states in a Hadeeth that he would make Istighfaar 70 times a day. We should ask Allah for forgiveness all the time as there are lots of sins and mistakes that are made and we don’t even know that they have been committed and Allah is the only one who can forgives us and Allah Is Oft Forgiving. The Importance of Salaah and it is compulsory 5 times a day. Missing salaah without a valid excuse acceptable in the Shariah takes us to the brink of kuffar. 

Majlis programme: We should always try and be in the state of wudhu as this is a blessed Sunnah of The Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). If it is not possible to perform wudhu with water when it breaks then perform tayaamum as this way we can still be in a state of wudhu. The Masnoon dua of wudhu which we should learn and its explanation. The Sunnah of starting any good work with Bismillaah hir Rahman nir Raheem such as wudhu or starting the car etc.  We should view no sin as small and no good deed as insignificant as we don’t know what could displease or please The Almighty Allah.

Quranic Explanation programme: We should take some time out of our daily lives to remember death daily (Muraaqabah – e - Maut) even if it is for a few minutes. An account of the life of Imam Bukhari (RA). Saheehul Bukhari is the most authentic book in one compilation after The Quran ul Kareem. One important lesson we learn from the life of Imam Bukhari is sincerity. We must be sincere in everything we do Insha Allah.

Majlis programme: It is stated in the Hadeeth that purity is half of faith. In our journey to The Almighty Allah one of those things that take us forward is external purity and the first thing is Wudhu (ablution). We should always try and stay in the state of Wudhu and this is a Blessed Sunnah of The Beloved Prophet (pbuh). We should try and make wudhu before we go to bed. The importance of making intention before wudhu is that when we make Wudhu we are being purified from the inside.

Quranic Explanation programme: This Hajj is a very big act of ibaadah (worship) and it is a great blessing of The Almighty Allah. Those Haajis whom have returned from Hajj we should request them to make dua of forgiveness for us. The more shukr (thanks) we give to Allah the more Allah will increase his bounty upon us. The history of Zam Zam water and its blessings and benefits. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Ibrahim Verse 37.

Majlis programme: Everyone can acquire the connection with Allah and the first thing is that we should have true desire, courage and effort. Anyone who strives towards Allah, Allah opens the different ways to him/her that leads towards Allah. There are certain things which make the journey much quicker on this path to Allah such as true desire, connection with the Shaykh etc. and there are certain things which stop the journey or take you backwards such as COMMITTING SINS.

Quranic Explanation programme: The further we are away from the time of The Blessed Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) the more spiritual deprivation the people will encounter. Today we miss the compulsory salaah and we do not feel any remorse. We should increase our worship but it must be sustainable changes and one such worship is the Tahajjud Salaah before you go to sleep. Today everyone knows in the bottom of their hearts who the oppressors are and who is the oppressed. Knowing is one thing, believing is another thing and acting on it is a third thing. We should not help the oppressors otherwise the fire could catch us. Even if you lean slightly towards an oppressor then the punishment is that the fire will catch you. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Fussilat verse 13 and Surah Hud verse 113. 

Majlis programme: A small act done in these 10 blessed days and nights of Dhu – Al – Hijjah is better than a big act done outside of this month. The day of Arafah is when Shaytaan is humiliated as he sees the Mercy of The Almighty Allah descend upon that day as big big sins are forgiven. Arrogance is the mother of all the evil illnesses. On this path which leads to Allah we have to have the true desire (talabis saadiq), abundance of Zikrullah, total obedience to Allah and stay away from all the sins and there is no bigger worship than that. Today what we do is many good deeds but we also do many sins as well.

Quranic Explanation programme: The first 10 days and nights in the month of Dhu – Al – Hijjah are very blessed and we should try and make the most of these days. The Almighty Allah gives us opportunities again and again such as the Blessed Months of Ramadhaan, Dhu – Al – Hijjah, Muharram so that on the Day of Judgement we have no complaints or excuses as to why we didn’t worship The Almighty Allah. We should fast this Saturday 5th of November as this is the Day of Arafah and the reward of fasting on this day is the forgiveness of the sins of the past year and the coming year. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Fajr Verses 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Quranic Explanation programme: We should be organised and prepared in advance for any task we undertake. The death of Gaddafi. Oppression is very much hated by The Almighty Allah. When someone has committed a sin and that punishment (hadd) which has been given in the Shariah for that sin is given then that hadd that has come on him will purify him of that sin. We should always make tawbah (repentance). A believer (mumin) will one day succeed as he will enter Jannah. This imaan is so powerful that one day it will save you.  Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Maarij Verses 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23.  

Majlis programme: In this world we want the best of everything but when it comes to religion we are satisfied very easily. The aim of the Shaykh and the student is the pleasure of Allah. We must reveal our condition to the Shaykh regularly otherwise how will he know what our problems/illnesses are and how will he prescribe the remedies. We should not openly make others aware of our sins but we must tell the Shaykh our sins so he can prescribe a remedy to OVERCOME those sins and get rid of them in order to move forward and reach Allah. A true Shaykh will NEVER look down on his students nor share their secrets with others but rather he is there to HELP US AND MAKE DUA FOR US!

Quranic Explanation programme: Qurbani is a beautiful act and it is part of the Hajj. It is a remembrance of the sacrifice of Ibrahim (AS). How the Qurbani should be distributed and we shouldn’t be stingy regarding Qurbani. When you go for Hajj even though you are the guest of Allah think that you are also the slave of Allah so if anyone gives you any problem you won’t argue or fight back. We should try and read every salaah in the Harmain Shareef. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Maarij Verses 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.

Majlis programme: The shaykh will give his students the tools to reach Allah after this its between you and Allah; The Teacher HAS to follow the Sunnah for any student to gain anything. Its important to have regular communication with the teacher.

Majlis programme: The Shaykh should feel that this student is mine and the student should feel that this Shaykh is mine. This is known as munaasibat and is the first principle on the path of Tasawwuf/Sulook and without this the student cannot reach that special level.  The second principle is that the student should write to his Shaykh preferably every month to inform him of his spiritual condition whether it increases, decreases or stays the same as well as ask any questions he/she has. 

Quranic Explanation programme: We are now in the season of Hajj and this journey of Hajj is for the Love of Allah. Each action required to be undertaken demonstrates and inculcates in our hearts the Love of Allah. We must be very careful and considerate about the rights of others and have good manners when on Hajj as this is something lacking amongst the Muslims. A sin that Muslims are involved in is the misuse of the eyes in this hot weather and it is for the reason we do not have that sweetness of Imaan. The reality and various stages of the Hellfire. We should ask Allah every day to save us from the Hellfire. Explanation of the Quranic Surah Al Hijr Verse 44 and Surah Al Maarij Verses 11, 12 , 13, 14 and 15.

Majlis programme: Many of the calamities we witness today are because of the SINS of Muslims. We should view these signs from The Almighty Allah as a reminder to change our lives and live according to Islam before death is upon us. One of the main rules (extremely important) when on the path of Tasawwuf/Sulook is to have unconditional love, confidence and trust in the Shaykh as he is the person whom we have chosen to help guide us in order to reach The Almighty Allah and this is lacking amongst the seekers today whether it be old or young.

Majlis programme: Total and Perfect success in the Akhirah for a believer is to enter Jannah without receiving any punishment and without entrance into the fire. We need to keep the company of the pious and have Taqwa. We must respect the Ulema.
